Inclusion and Equality

The principles of inclusion and equality

In accordance with the values of the Helsinki Baroque Orchestra, equality, equity and respect for others foster a sense of inclusion and community, which is also present in the musical outcome.

The orchestra is committed to creating equal and undisturbed conditions for the audience, artists, staff and all participants.

  • Diversity is a richness for the orchestra.
  • The principles promote a respectful, equal and collaborative environment and atmosphere, both in words and actions.
  • We value and encourage everyone as a person in their own right.
  • We respect the limits set by each individual and their right to participate.
  • We each take responsibility for a safe and respectful environment.
  • We do not tolerate discrimination, harassment, racism or pressure of any kind.

The Helsinki Baroque Orchestra adheres to the Equality and Non-Discrimination Plan approved and monitored by the Board. The orchestra also has internal guidelines on the principles of a good working community.

If you encounter harassment or other inappropriate conduct, you can contact the staff of the Helsinki Baroque Orchestra or our harassment contact person: Ilona Kaski, producer, ilona.kaski@hebo.fi, +358 40 704 7230
